Our Belief

We believe that over a billion souls will be brought into God's kingdom from all over the earth before the very return of the King of Kings - Jesus Christ. Our hope and joy is in this reality.

Our Conviction

Our services are emphasized by long and loving times of worship and prayer, soaking in His Spirit, with a strong emphasis on the word and the laying on of hands. We are convinced that it is God's will for all those who are sick to be made well, and we take time to lay hands on the sick and pray for their recovery every meeting. We believe in living lifestyles that are devoted to fasting and prayer, and we do this in connection with the city church, and the church around the world. We believe God truly wants to unify His church by His Spirit, as spoken of in John 17.

House of Prayer

We know that God is calling forth a house of prayer to be established in the city of Melbourne that will operate in anointed worship, prophesy and intercession twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three-hundred-sixty-five days a year - in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David! Acts 15 makes it very clear that it is the Lords heart to rebuild the Tabernacle of David before His return, and we believe our church is to flow in this anointing. Not that we think that our little church-plant here in the heart of Melbourne can operate a house of prayer in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David 24/7/365, but the church of a city can! We feel called to "call it forth" and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest. He will do it in His time.

Church Planting

Not only do we feel called to birth a house of prayer in the city of Melbourne, but we feel called to plant churches as well. Every encounter of intimacy with God produces children, and we just believe that there will be dozens of churches planted through this little church over the next ten or twenty years. If you look at the city of Melbourne, with maybe 5% of the 3.5 Million population actively involved with their faith, you can see that there are millions of people in our city alone who need a life saving encounter with Jesus Christ, not to mention the surrounding areas. The harvest is too great for the one little congregation we have now to hold, and new congregations all over the city are going to need to be planted. Perhaps even by you...

Melbourne - the Most Livable City

Melbourne is a city that has been blessed to be a blessing. We do not live in 'the most livable city in the world' just so we can have nice gardens and drive to work on the Citylink. Melbourne is blessed so that we can bless the nations of the earth. If you look on a world map, it is easy to see why the Lord would chose Australia as a special sending station for the nations. 90% of the worlds unreached people live but a few hours flight away. Melbourne's vast resources and knowledge will be shared with students from all over the world. Just as Melbourne is inundated with University Students every year from all over the Asia Pacific, so the disciples will come to be trained and equipped. Many of them will come thinking they are coming to get prepared for their secular career, only to find themselves being shot back to their countries as flaming evangelists. Revival fire will be spread abroad from this city through international students and the people of Australia alike.

Our Prayer and Commitment

Here we are Lord, send us into the Great Harvest through the Great Commission. The Harvest truly is great, but the labors are few. We at Melbourne International just want to do our part in "Loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength - and loving our neighbors as ourselves."
